SETTING UP

ASSEMBLY
  1. Remove the plastic set knob from the top of the large base tube.
  2. Place base cover over the large base tube (looks like a cup with 4 cut outs). This is to cover the screws, it is only for aesthetic purposes; it is not necessary for the function of the fan.
  3. Pull the extension pole inside the large base tube up and replace the set knob on the top of the large base tube.
  4. Remove screws from cross base, put cross base underneath the large base tube and fasten base tube to base with the screws. Lift the base cover if it is in the way.
  5. Place motor housing on top of small extension pole and secure by setting screw.
  6. Remove the fan blade cap on the end of motor shaft by turning clockwise and rear grill setting nut in front of motor housing by turning counterclockwise.  If the motor shaft is spinning, the fan blade cap will not come off.  Hint: you may use a pair of pliers or rubber gloves to hold the metal shaft and prevent it from spinning.
  7. Set the rear grill in the proper position with the handle up. Secure the rear grill by using the setting nut to tightly attach it to the motor housing.
  8. Install the fan blade on the shaft until it reaches the retaining pin and tighten the fan blade cap counterclockwise.
  9. Mount the front guard in the proper direction and fix both guards together with the clips on the edge of the rear guard. (Fig. A)
